European Card Payment Association en Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council strijden met vereende kracht tegen diefstal betaaldata
PARIJS–(BUSINESS WIRE)– In een stap voor de verenigde bescherming tegen datadiefstal, maken de Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council (PCI SSC) en de European Card Payment Association (ECPA) vandaag bekend dat ECPA strategisch regionaal lid wordt van de raad van PCI. Als steun voor het gezamenlijk nagestreefde doel van een enkele, wereldwijd uniforme beveiligingsstandaard, draagt ECPA vanaf vandaag bij aan de internationale PCI-standaard voor databeveiliging. Daarnaast promoot ECPA de ingebruikname van de PCI-standaard onder haar leden, conform de regelgeving van de Europese Unie.
ECPA voegt zich met haar strategische regionale lidmaatschap bij meer dan zevenhonderd organisaties en 28 bedrijven en verenigingen uit de raad, die wereldwijd bijdragen aan de ontwikkeling van de veiligheidsstandaard van PCI.

PARIS–(BUSINESS WIRE)– Joining forces to protect against payment data theft around the world, the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council (PCI SSC) and the European Card Payment Association (ECPA) have announced today that ECPA is now a strategic regional member of the PCI Council. Supporting the shared goal of a single, globally unified data security standard, ECPA will collaborate on future versions of the global PCI Data Security Standard and advocate for the adoption of the PCI Standard by its members in conformance with European Union regulations. With its strategic regional membership, ECPA joins more than 700 organisations and 28 board member companies and associations from around the world who contribute to the ongoing evolution of the PCI Security Standard.
