Peter treedt aan bij de eerste dienstverlener voor databeheer die is opgericht door de sector zelf, gesticht door Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase, Morgan Stanley en SmartStream. Hiervoor was hij 25 jaar werkzaam bij Thomson Reuters. In deze periode richtte hij als CTO Thomson Reuters Enterprise op, dat verantwoordelijk is voor de technologie en data achter de afdeling voor financiële markten. Recenter gaf hij leiding aan de de financiële divisie van Thomson Reuters, een internationaal bedrijf met een omzet van 6 miljard dollar.

LONDON–(BUSINESS WIRE)– SmartStream Technologies, the Transaction Lifecycle Management (TLM ®) specialist, today announced with immediate effect the appointment of Peter Moss as CEO of The SmartStream Reference Data Utility (RDU). Peter joins the first industry-formed data management service, established by Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase, Morgan Stanley and SmartStream, after a twenty-five year career with Thomson Reuters. During his tenure there, he established the Thomson Reuters Enterprise business, responsible for data and technology operations for the Financial Markets business as CTO and most recently led the Thomson Reuters Financial Division, a global business with $6bn in revenue.
