Westinghouse eert geest van vernieuwing met Patent Award Lunch
PITTSBURGH–(BUSINESS WIRE)– Op deze dag in 1865 kreeg George Westinghouse zijn eerste patent, voor een roterende stoommachine. Daarmee begon een traditie van innovatie, groei en succes van Westinghouse Electric Company. Onlangs zijn 129 in de VS gevestigde werknemers onderscheiden wegens hun bijdrage aan het Amerikaanse patentaanvragen in het afgelopen jaar. Die bijdragen bestaan onder meer uit de uitgifte van 32 Amerikaanse patenten, 42 aanvragen en 51 uitvinders die toelichtingen op hun producten indienden. Deze werknemers kregen de felicitaties tijdens de Westinghouse Patent Award Lunch 2016 voor hun prestaties en bijdragen aan de kernenergiesector. In de geest van George Westinghouse gaan zij door met innoveren.
