Keio Plaza Hotel Tokyo organiseert expositie met spectaculair Ikebana-bloemstuk van kunstenaar Hiroki Maeno
TOKYO–(BUSINESS WIRE)– Keio Plaza Hotel Tokyo, een van de meest vooraanstaande internationale hotels van Japan in de wijk Shinjuku van Tokyo, organiseert van 1 tot 16 april 2017 een bijzondere expositie van de bloemschikkunst Ikebana door de vermaarde kunstenaar Hiroki Maeno. Op de derde etage van de centrale lobby voor hotelgasten verrijst een groot bloemenarrangement van 2,7 bij 5 meter is weelderig versierd met tweehonderd beeldschone kersenbloesemtakken. Deze ‘sakura’ is een van de belangrijkste symbolen voor Japanse schoonheid in de lente. De expositie is gratis voor gasten van het hotel.
Hiroki Maeno verzorgt voor zijn prachtcreatie ook twee Ikebana-workshops, op 6 april om 16.00 en 18.30 uur. Zodoende hebben gasten de mogelijkheid deze workshops zelf bij te wonen in de lobby.

The artist Hiroki Maeno will also provide two Ikebana flower arrangement workshops held on April 6 from 4:00p.m. and 6:30p.m. in front of his beautiful arrangement. Guests will be able to view these workshops as they will be held in the lobby area. About 75% of the guests staying at the Keio Plaza Hotel are overseas visitors from over 100 different countries. Therefore, our hotel has hosted exhibitions of Maeno’s Ikebana flower arrangements four times a year to show our guests the Japanese traditional sense of Japanese aesthetic beauty during each of the four seasons.
