ZURICH–(BUSINESS WIRE)– WEY Technology has recently delivered one of the world’s most technically advanced trading floors at Bank Julius Baer in Zurich, Switzerland. With over 1750 m2 of floor space, 1326 screens and 223 workspaces, there is not a single computer in the room. WEY designed and deployed the ultra-modern solution without disruption to ongoing operations during an eight-month project. This Smart News Release features multimedia. View the full release here: http://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20170327005066/en/ Some of the world’s leading financial experts at Julius Baer are now working at state-of-the-art workplaces optimized for ergonomics, efficiency and flexibility. The fully-renovated trading floor has been delivered by WEY Technology, world market leader for trading floor solutions. At the heart of every Julius Baer trading desk is a WEY SMART touch keyboard. With its built-in touch screen, traders manage all their information sources and systems as well as six LCD screens with the touch of a button. Built-in Reuters and Bloomberg keypads are used to execute trades. Julius Baer opted for Free Seating technology so that traders can regroup at any time, move instantly and sit at any available desk. They just take their personal SMART touch keyboards with them and log-on to get immediate access to their systems and personal settings – without any loss of computer performance. Complexity doesn’t have to be complicated. The office climate improved significantly. Uncomfortable heat and noise emissions were eliminated by removing all computers to server rooms. Computers are stored securely and cooled efficiently, saving valuable floor space and energy costs. And traders can concentrate fully on their customers and the markets. According to Peter Gerlach, Head of Markets and Member of the Board at Julius Baer: “Providing more than 200 state-of-the-art workspaces for our staff to serve their clients in the best possible way is very important to us…. Completing the renovation during ongoing operations was our biggest concern. We would not have done the project, a third project, with WEY without a very high level of confidence in the WEY Team, and we were certainly not disappointed.” The Swiss-headquartered WEY Group specialises in integrated workplace solutions for trading floors and control rooms. WEY has 12 subsidiaries in Europe, USA and Asia and provides Sales & Customer Service in over 40 countries worldwide. WEY solutions are developed and manufactured in-house in Switzerland.
