ROTTERDAM, Nederland – (BUSINESS WIRE) – LBC Tank Terminals heeft de definitieve investeringsbeslissing genomen om de terminal in Rotterdam-Botlek uit te breiden met 70.000 m3 extra capaciteit, waardoor de totale capaciteit van de terminal op 180.000 m3 komt. Deze investering maakt deel uit van een meerjarig investeringsprogramma om de Rotterdamse terminal te vernieuwen en uit te breiden. De extra capaciteit is bedoeld om de groeiende markt voor de opslag en overslag van chemicaliën in de haven van Rotterdam te bedienen.

Een deel van het project zal bestaan uit de uitbreiding van de nieuw gebouwde diepzeepier met twee extra ligplaatsen. De steiger kan schepen tot 75.000 DWT aan met een maximale diepgang van 14,5 meter.

Het project zal naar verwachting in het derde kwartaal van 2021 worden voltooid.

LBC Tank Terminals Expands Rotterdam Terminal

ROTTERDAM, Netherlands–(BUSINESS WIRE)– LBC Tank Terminals has taken the final investment decision to expand the terminal at Rotterdam-Botlek with 70,000 m³ of additional capacity, bringing the total capacity of the terminal to 180,000 m³. This investment is part of a multiyear investment program to revamp and expand the Rotterdam site. The additional capacity is intended to serve the growing market for the storage and transshipment of chemicals in the Port of Rotterdam.

Part of the project will consist of the expansion of the newly built deep-sea jetty with two additional berthing positions. The jetty can handle vessels up to 75,000 DWT with a maximum draft of 14.5 meter.

The project is planned to be completed by Q3 of 2021.
