WESTBOROUGH, Mass.–(BUSINESS WIRE)– The Edison Awards winners were announced on March 25, 2020. The Battery Condition Annunciator App by NEC Energy Solutions (NEC) took the bronze award for the applied technology – threat, defense and security category.

The Battery Condition Annunciator App is the first-of-its-kind mobile application designed to address safety issues in battery storage systems. The app allows firefighters and emergency personnel to improve situational awareness from a safe distance through automation and remote controls.
