Stad Tampere: De Viinikanlahti Internationale wedstrijd voor stedelijke ideeën in Tampere is beëindigd
TAMPERE, Finland– (BUSINESS WIRE) – De winnaar van de wedstrijd is het pseudoniem Lakes & Roses. De jury prees de uitstekende totaalaanpak van de stedenbouwkundige en landschapsarchitectuur en de helderheid van het stadsbeeld. De onthulde auteur van de inzending is Architecturestudio NOAN uit Tampere, Finland.
De winnende inzending biedt uitstekende voorwaarden om het stadscentrum van Tampere, gelegen tussen twee waterlichamen, naar het zuiden uit te breiden. De inzending maakt het mogelijk voor alle bewoners stadscentrumachtige woonblokken te ontwikkelen en een doorlopende stadsparkzone aan het Pyhäjärvi-meer ”, aldus de voorzitter van de jury, loco-burgemeester Jaakko Stenhäll.
Het internationale jurylid, architect Helle Juul uit Kopenhagen, was tevreden over het aantal en de hoge kwaliteit van de inzendingen voor de wedstrijd. Lakes & Roses vertegenwoordigt onderscheidende expertise in het ontwerpen van de stedelijke lay-out, met overtuigende architectonische en stedelijke oplossingen. De indeling van de site heeft de mogelijkheid om zich aan te passen aan verschillende maatschappelijke veranderingen “, prijst Helle Juul.
De wedstrijd werd georganiseerd door de stad Tampere in samenwerking met de Finse Vereniging van Architecten (SAFA) en de Finse Vereniging van Landschapsarchitecten (MARK). Wereldwijd namen tientallen stedenbouwkundigen en landschapsontwerpers onder een pseudoniem deel aan de internationale tweefasen ideeënwedstrijd.
Dankzij de geavanceerde digitaliteit van de wedstrijd kon de wedstrijd ondanks de pandemie van het coronavirus volgens de oorspronkelijke planning worden voltooid.

The winning entry provides excellent preconditions for expanding the city centre of Tampere, located between two waterbodies, to the south. The entry enables developing city centre -like housing blocks and a continuous urban park zone by Lake Pyhäjärvi for all residents”, says the chair of the jury Deputy Mayor Jaakko Stenhäll.

The competition was organised by the City of Tampere in cooperation with the Finnish Association of Architects (SAFA) and the Finnish Association of Landscape Architects (MARK). Dozens of urban and landscape designers throughout the world participated, under a pseudonym, in the international two-phase ideas competition.
The advanced digitality of the competition enabled finishing the competition in the original schedule despite the coronavirus pandemic.
