SAN JOSE, Californië – (BUSINESS WIRE) – Velodyne Lidar, Inc. kondigde vandaag een meerjarige verkoopovereenkomst aan met GeoSLAM, een wereldmarktleider in 3D-georuimtelijke technologieoplossingen. GeoSLAM gebruikt Velodyne lidarsensoren in zijn ZEB-HORIZON mobiele scanner die 3D-kaarten biedt van binnen-, ondergrondse en moeilijk toegankelijke omgevingen zonder de noodzaak van GPS.
Velodyne’s Puck LITE ™ -sensoren stellen GeoSLAM-systemen in staat om gegevensverzameling van ingewikkelde metingen tot op 100 meter afstand te bereiken, wat snelle resultaten oplevert die tijd en geld kunnen besparen. ZEB-HORIZON richt zich op een breed scala aan oplossingen, waaronder gebouwinformatiemodellering (BIM), constructie, onroerend goed, landmeetkunde en mijnbouw. In een innovatieve toepassing brengen onderzoekers van Virginia Tech een slagveld uit de Eerste Wereldoorlog naar klaslokalen en musea met ZEB-HORIZON-mapping als onderdeel van een virtual reality-ervaring. GeoSLAM-scanners worden ook door Entropy Group ingezet om K-12-scholen in de Verenigde Staten in kaart te brengen om eerstehulpverleners gedetailleerde plattegronden te bieden in noodsituaties.

Velodyne’s Puck LITE™ sensors enable GeoSLAM systems to achieve data capture of intricate measurements from up to 100 meters away, delivering rapid results that can save time and money.
