PARIJS–(BUSINESS WIRE)– InterCloud, een toonaangevend cloudconnectiviteitsplatform, kondigt vandaag de benoeming aan van Daniel Kurgan als voorzitter van de raad van bestuur. Hij sluit zich aan bij InterCloud na de aankondiging, in februari 2022, van een Series D-fondsenwervingsronde van € 100 miljoen, die de internationale ontwikkeling van het bedrijf zal versnellen. Daniel brengt zijn lange leidinggevende ervaring in de wereldwijde telecommunicatiemarkt mee om de groeidoelstellingen van InterCloud te verzekeren.

Daniel Kurgan treedt toe tot de Raad van Bestuur van InterCloud na meer dan 15 jaar bij BICS, een dochteronderneming van de telecommunicatiegroep Proximus. Hij trad in 2005 in dienst bij BICS als Vice President of Commercial Operations en werd CEO in maart 2007, een functie die hij bekleedde tot 2021. Onder zijn leiding verwierf het bedrijf een wereldwijd marktaandeel van 25% en werd het een wereldleider op het gebied van connectiviteit, interoperabiliteit en authenticatiediensten . Daniel leidde meerdere M&A-transacties, waaronder de joint venture-overeenkomsten met Swisscom en MTN, en de ingrijpende overname van TeleSign in 2017.

InterCloud Appoints Daniel Kurgan as Chairman

PARIS–(BUSINESS WIRE)– InterCloud, a leading Cloud connectivity platform, today announces the appointment of Daniel Kurgan as Chairman of the Board of Directors. He joins InterCloud following the announcement, in February 2022, of a €100 million Series D fundraising round, which will accelerate the company’s international development. Daniel brings his long executive experience in the global telecommunications market to assure InterCloud’s growth objectives.

Daniel Kurgan joins the InterCloud Board of Directors after more than 15 years with BICS, a subsidiary of the Proximus telecommunications group. He joined BICS in 2005 as Vice President of Commercial Operations and became CEO in March 2007, a position he held until 2021. Under his leadership, the company gained 25% global market share and became a world leader in connectivity, interoperability, and authentication services. Daniel led multiple M&A transactions including the JV agreements with Swisscom and MTN, and the transforming acquisition of TeleSign in 2017.
