Jukka Vakula (42) is benoemd tot algemeen directeur van Salo IoT Park Ltd, een vastgoedbedrijf dat is opgericht door de gemeente Salo en lokale investeerders. Salo IoT Park bezit faciliteiten voor productontwikkeling en productie op het industrieterrein Meriniitty van Salo. Deze locaties, die eerder onderdak boden O&O-teams van Nokia Mobile en Microsoft Mobile, worden omgevormd tot competentiecentra voor industrieel internet en vermarkt onder de merknaam Salo IoT Campus. De heer Vakula komt over van Technopolis Plc, waar hij werkt als directeur voor de metropoolregio Helsinki.

Salo IoT Park Ltd is a real estate company founded by the City of Salo and local investors. Salo IoT Park Ltd owns product development and production facilities at Meriniitty industrial area in Salo. These premises, which earlier housed Nokia Mobile and Microsoft Mobile R&D teams, are being transformed to become an industrial internet competence center and are marketed under Salo IoT Campus brand.
