Keio Plaza Hotel Tokyo begint met workshops in bloemschikkunst Ikebana
TOKIO–(BUSINESS WIRE)– Keio Plaza Hotel Tokyo, een prestigieus Japans hotel in de wijk Shinjuku in Tokio, begint met speciale cursussen van drie kwartier om buitenlandse gasten de bloemschikkunst Ikebana te leren. De lessen worden vanaf augustus om de twee weken op donderdag gegeven in een hotelkamer, voor 3000 yen per deelnemer. De vermaarde bloemschikkunstenaar Hiroki Maeno verzorgt de cursus en geeft adviezen.
Hiroki Maeno heeft voor ieder seizoen van het jaar speciale en unieke bloemstukken samengesteld voor de hoofdlobby van het hotel. Zijn nieuwste bloemstuk is 2,7 meter breed en 5 meter hoog en bestaat uit bamboe, groen gebladerte en witte enkianthus, die in Japan symbool staan voor koelte en in de zomer voor esthetische verkoeling zorgen. Het bloemstuk is van 4 tot 18 augustus 2017 voor alle hotelgasten te bezichtigen.

His newest flower arrangement will be 2.7 meters wide by 5 meters tall and made from bamboo, greeneries and white enkianthus, which are symbolic of cool in Japan, to provide aesthetic relief from the summer heat. This arrangement will be displayed from August 4 to 18, 2017 for all hotel guests to enjoy. The Keio Plaza Hotel has offered “Ikebana” flower arrangement workshops to guests staying at our hotel on an ad hoc basis until now, but in response to strong demand we will now begin offering these workshops on a regular basis and to a wider audience that includes visitors not staying at our Hotel.
