BOEKAREST, Roemenië–(BUSINESS WIRE)– In verband met de rechtszaak die Amerikaanse staatsburgers hebben aangespannen tegen het bedrijf, RCS & RDS S.A., RCS Management S.A., DIGI Távközlési és Szolgáltató Kft en zijn dochteronderneming i-TV Digitális Távközlési Zrt. (de Gedaagden) bij de rechtbank van het Eastern District in de staat Virginia – binnen de divisie Alexandria – , die we eerder in onze periodieke rapportage hebben gepubliceerd, stelt het bedrijf zijn investeerders en de mark er met genoegen van op de hoogte dat de rechtbank op 8 februari 2018 de motie van de Gedaagden tot annulering heeft aangenomen en de rechtszaak in zijn geheel ongegrond heeft verklaard wegens een gebrek aan rechtsbevoegdheid inzake dit onderwerp. De Amerikaanse rechtbank heeft ook alle eerder uitgesproken bevelen in deze zaak ongegrond verklaard. Tegen dit vonnis kan binnen dertig dagen beroep worden aangetekend bij het Amerikaans Hof van Beroep van het vierde circuit. Het bedrijf is blij met de uitspraak en verweert zich krachtig tegen de beschuldigingen van deze eisers, die hinderlijk zijn en, indien er beroep tegen deze uitspraak wordt aangetekend, iedere grond missen.

BUCHAREST, Romania–(BUSINESS WIRE)– In connection with the claim brought by certain US citizens against the Company, RCS & RDS S.A., RCS Management S.A., DIGI Távközlési és Szolgáltató Kft, and its subsidiary, i-TV Digitális Távközlési Zrt. (the “Defendants”) in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia – Alexandria Division (the “US Court”), which we have previously disclosed in our periodic reports, the Company would like to inform its investors and the market that, on 8 February 2018, the US Court granted the Defendants’ motion to vacate and dismissed the entire lawsuit for lack of subject matter jurisdiction. The US Court also vacated all prior orders entered in the case. This order may be appealed to the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit within 30 days. The Company welcomes the US Court’s decision and will continue to vigorously defend against any of these plaintiffs’ allegations that are vexatious and groundless if the dismissal is ultimately appealed.
