Westinghouse Prepares for Global Growth

PITTSBURGH–(BUSINESS WIRE)– Furthering its Right to Grow strategy, today Westinghouse Electric Company announced management assignments as part of its global business strategy. This alignment helps Westinghouse deliver on its strategy to be a customer-centric, global technology company.

Through this transition, Westinghouse will be further aligned to enhance commercial and marketing development in its operating regions – the Americas, Asia, and Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), while leveraging deep industry knowledge for emerging product lines in established markets.

“The Westinghouse leadership for our regions and product lines have worked carefully together to position our company to be best-in-class innovators, focused on providing safe, clean, reliable energy solutions to our customers,” said Danny Roderick, president and chief executive officer of Westinghouse Electric Company. “This strategic move to enhance our regions management while leveraging our global talent within the product lines enhances our ability to better hear the voice of the customer, ensuring that we deliver superior value, drive results and are the first to innovate the next.”

Under this transition, Mark Marano, president, Americas Region will now also have EMEA customer responsibilities as president, EMEA Region. With nearly 30 years of industry experience, Marano has been leading Westinghouse’s Americas Region for the past three years. He has successfully managed Westinghouse customer relationships, commercial and marketing, strategy, as well as government and regulatory affairs.

Yves Brachet will transition into the role of senior vice president, Decontamination, Decommissioning, Remediation and Waste Management (DDR&WM) services; this new global product line will be headquartered in Europe. With more than 30 years of nuclear industry experience, Brachet will provide DDR&WM customers a deep understanding of the product line. He will enhance Westinghouse’s position as a comprehensive and integrated services provider with state-of-the-art solutions for spent fuel and the treatment and handling of waste fuel. Brachet’s vast industry knowledge will help the company meet and exceed customer expectations, particularly in the well-established European nuclear market.

The management transition will be effective April 1, 2016. Both Marano and Brachet will continue to report to Danny Roderick.
